Milton Keynes Dons FC Women are delighted to announce the re-signing of Zoe Barratt from Ipswich Town FC Women on a permanent basis.

Barratt becomes the latest addition to Charlie Bill’s squad, re-joining the club following a three-year spell at Ipswich Town. The former RTC graduate joined the Tractor Girls in the summer of 2019, scoring 12 goals across 42 appearances but has now made the permanent move back to Stadium MK.

The 20-year-old previously enjoyed a spell within the Regional Talent Centre, scoring 13 goals in 20 appearances in her final season, before moving on to Ipswich Town. The tenacious forward has been limited to just six appearances this term with only two starts, however, Barratt is eager to show her clinical edge following the confirmation of her transfer, and availability for selection ahead of the trip to Gloucestershire this evening.

Barratt had the following to say:

"After being side-lined for a prolonged period pre-Christmas, I’ve worked hard to get myself back to full fitness, and I'm really excited to be joining MK Dons where I can't wait to start training and playing with the rest of the squad. Hopefully I can bring something different to the team and contribute towards the remaining games".

"Having previously been part of the club’s Regional Talent Centre before my time at Ipswich, there are a number of coaches at the club I still know and that obviously played a big part in my decision to come here."

Manager, Charlie Bill added:

“We are so pleased to bring Zoe into this squad. As soon as we heard there was potential that she was looking to move on we acted quickly. I have coached Zoe previously & she shows all of our values, an extremely hard-working individual who constantly wants to improve her all round game.

We have seen first-hand the quality she possess & has had real success in tier 3 for the past 18 months. It is now about supporting her to get back to her top level & help push us up this league.

There has been a real buzz around the group getting Zoe in & I know she is a player who is respected highly from all involved at MK Dons Women.”

Zoe is an exciting attacking player who can play a variety of roles. Her versatility will be a huge addition to MK Dons FC Women, where Zoe will be keen to show her attacking quality in our upcoming games at Stadium MK.
