MK Dons SET announce 2022/23 Player Pathway trials
The MK Dons Sports and Education Trust are delighted to be announcing the opportunity for players in the Milton Keynes area to register their interest in Player Pathway trials.
Last year, MK Dons SET successfully ran an open trial process that empowered young people to express themselves whilst opening an opportunity for them experience the boys’ player pathway at the MK Dons SET.
This year, the SET are once again running open trials starting in April through to the end of May. The open trial process boasts the opportunity for all players to be provided with an appropriate programme, whether that be our Community Programmes, Advanced Centre, or Centre of Excellence.
All the programmes are player centred; proving an environment to support each players individual needs, with the ambition of developing them holistically, and in-line with the FA’s Long Term Player Development and 4-corner model (technical/tactical, physical, social, and psychological).
Upon launch of the 2022/23 open trials, Jack Sharp, Head of Football and Performance at MK Dons SET, had the following to say.
‘Once again, we are really pleased to offer this opportunity to all young people within Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas. It allows players to experience our boys’ talent pathway through being involved in sessions, allowing players to showcase themselves in a fear-free environment. We continue to offer a variety of different football programmes to the community of Milton Keynes; therefore, this enables us to provide each player an opportunity within the most appropriate environment for their individual needs ahead of the 2022/23 season.’
These trials will once again follow the same process, with players registering their interest below, using the google forms document; parents to then be contacted and updated with further details (dates, time, and venue).
