Milton Keynes Dons Sport and Education Trust (SET) have appointed a new Chief Executive – Maralyn Smith. Maralyn has been a community and youth work practitioner for over 25 years working across a range of agencies including charities, local authorities and running her own company.  She understands the impact that sport can have on an individual's self-esteem, confidence and how it can build social justice, inclusivity and help prevent social isolation. Maralyn stated she is looking forward to helping the SET achieve even more of the great work it already undertakes.

Maralyn said, “MK Dons SET provides a wide range of excellent provision which supports the community of Milton Keynes and beyond.  I look forward to working with the Board, Club, Staff, Sponsors, supporters and the community to make MK Dons SET Premier League for the community”

The previous Chief Executive and now Chair of the SET, John Cove, said “The Board and I are absolutely delighted with the appointment of Maralyn who will bring with her a wealth of experience including work she has carried out with the Premier League and English Football Leagues. It’s a timely appointment as we go through a period of change and reconstruction aimed at having the best impact on the community in the long term”
