SET host Armed Forces Mental Health Course

12 MKUH delegates attended MH England’s Armed Forces Mental Health First Aid course in partnership with MK City Council and MK Dons & MK Dons SET earlier this week.
They were joined by staff from the MK Dons SET, MK ARC drugs and alcohol service as well as Walking with the Wounded. It was delivered at the new MK Dons Sports Hub in Fairfields.
The two-day course is funded by the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust and gives staff a three year qualification to help them understand how to identify people in a MH crisis and what to do to support them. There was a particular focus on those with an Armed Forces link.
There will be a short Remembrance service in the courtyard on November 11th for those who wish to attend starting at 10:45.
