Our specialised sessions are designed to support individuals living with dementia, stroke, brain injuries, and Parkinson’s, offering a unique blend of mobility-focused, sports-related activities and social interaction. Every Thursday at Brooklands Sports Pavillion, 2pm until 3:30pm. These sessions provide a welcoming environment for participants to improve their physical and cognitive abilities while enjoying the benefits of group engagement.
Key Features of Our Sessions:
Social Connection: With an emphasis on community, participants can build meaningful relationships while engaging in fun, interactive activities.
Pre-Planned Activities: Each session is carefully designed to promote functionality, incorporating exercises that enhance coordination, balance, and cognitive stimulation.
Expert-Led Support: Sessions are guided by two experienced coaches and a dedicated community nurse, ensuring participants receive professional care and attention tailored to their needs.
Learning Opportunities for Students: We also provide opportunities for students to participate, gaining valuable hands-on experience in supporting individuals with neurological and physical challenges.
By combining physical activity with social connection, our sessions foster an atmosphere of encouragement, helping participants feel empowered and engaged. Through this holistic approach, we aim to enhance both physical health and emotional wellbeing, creating a positive impact on their quality of life.
