Milton Keynes Dons Community Trust has revealed plans to diversify the four facilities it operates in the city to enhance life opportunities and create open spaces for local people.

The football club’s official charity is responsible for the day-to-day running of Brooklands Community Sports Pavilion, Fairfields Sports Hub, Woughton on the Green Pavilion and Tattenhoe Pavilion.

Its team of community coaches and programme leads already deliver the charity’s post-16 education programme and holiday camps plus adult activity, inclusion and boys and girls football pathway sessions from each centre.

In partnership with Milton Keynes City Council, the Trust now wishes to engage all members of the MK community by extending onsite provisions to music room hire, bookings for private meetings and personal celebrations.

The partnership is built on a shared vision to create inclusive, accessible, spaces which inspire health, wellbeing and community engagement through sport and activities.

Racket sports including badminton, table tennis and pickleball will also form part of the charity’s continued delivery to enhance options for people to lead a positive, active and social life.

In a further boost, profits from all bookings will be reinvested back into each facility to further extend the charity’s fresh commitment to providing a safe, clean and quality environment for all.

Steven Watson, Head of Facilities for MK Dons Community Trust, said: "Sport has the power to unite communities, and these facilities are at the heart of that mission.

“By partnering with Milton Keynes City Council, we’re committed to creating spaces where everyone feels welcome, supported, and inspired to achieve their best.

“It reflects a long-term commitment to improving local opportunities, fostering social inclusion and promoting active lifestyles. Whether it’s hosting grassroots tournaments, delivering health programmes, or providing spaces for community events, these facilities are designed to make a lasting impact.

“Our goal is to have these centres bursting with activities seven days a week and reinvest revenue back into each facility to the benefit of local people.”

Founded in 2009, MK Dons Community Trust is the charitable arm of MK Dons FC.

Already, 10,000 people use the charity’s four facilities each month with hundreds attending regular community and pathway sessions which will continue to form part of the charity’s delivery.

Steven added: “We want to provide for each community by creating a space which can host numerous activities.

“We are open to all suggestions and encourage those with an idea to establish a new club or community group to get in touch and use the power of the club badge to inspire positive, lasting, change.”
