MK Dons Community Trust has strengthened its team with the appointment of six new Trustees, while MK Dons Women’s captain Favour Omenazu, Marie Bradburn and Adam Chicksen join as Trust Ambassadors.

The group includes MK Dons’ Simon Crampton, Amplius Director Liz Parsons and Activision Blizzard King Legal Counsel Alicia Vaughan-Dick, alongside charity leader Lynne Morris OBE, social value and sustainability specialist Josephina Oji and Mayor of Bletchley and Fenny Stratford Ethaniel Kelly-Wilson.

The new Trustees will help oversee the charity’s work and bring their professional expertise to its future direction and development.

Favour and Marie’s appointments recognise their existing involvement with the local community, while former MK Dons player Adam Chicksen, who came through the club’s academy has been appointed Premier League Kicks Ambassador.

Favour and Marie were recently presented with their Certificates of Appointment pitchside by MK Dons CEO Paul Mitchell and Chair of Trustees Paul Clark ahead of the match against Crawley Town at Stadium MK.

Favour captains MK Dons Women and recently reached another milestone in her playing career with her first call-up to the Nigerian national team.

The Ambassador role builds on Favour’s existing relationship with the Community Trust, having already supported a number of its events and activities.

Favour said: “I’ve really enjoyed getting involved with the Community Trust and getting to know everyone through things like International Women’s Day and other activities.

“I love interacting with people and getting stuck in, so when Paul spoke to me about becoming an Ambassador, I was really excited. It gives me the opportunity to get even more involved and do what I can to support the community.”

Having started playing grassroots football at primary school before progressing through the women’s game to become MK Dons Women’s captain, Favour is particularly passionate about the opportunities the Trust creates for young people.

She added: “I think the programmes give a lot of people opportunities they wouldn’t ordinarily get. Coming through football myself from a young age, if these kinds of opportunities had been available to me, I would have absolutely loved them.

“The Trust’s girls’ pathway is such a good programme. Quite a few of the girls I’m playing with now have come through the pathway, so it’s great to see there is a route for girls aspiring to play at a higher level and for them to see what that end goal could look like."

Adam Chicksen, said: “Becoming Premier League Kicks Ambassador, it gives me a chance to really connect with the community, meet and match the energy and excitement I am sure will be brought.

“I have grown up and gained so many memories with the club in my playing career with Milton Keynes Dons and I'm looking forward to making more by helping deliver purposeful programmes for the local community.
